Phil Godfrey is planning to walk from the Scillies Isles right on to Shetland. This is in memory of his wife Christine who was diagnosed with APS in 2005 and who passed away in January 2015. Due to injuries sustained early on he is doing this in stages.

Good start along Beach at Formby, weather calmer than yesterday, but still plenty of substantial waves coming on to the Beach.Good view onto the Fylde Coast and the Blackpool Tower. Several severe squalls, but short thankfully.

Diverted along Lord Street, still very busy but slightly down market from when we saw it last (30 years ago)

Left through the north of the town and carried on along the Coast Road to Banks.
