Phil Godfrey was planning to walk from the Scillies Isles right on to Shetland. This was in memory of his wife Christine who was diagnosed with APS in 2005 and who passed away in January 2015.
St Mary’s – A wonderful day
Woke this morning to hear it raining heavily, but by breakfast time, the sun was breaking through and then the weather has been superb. Walked round the Island coast path, speaking to many people’ who after reading my polo shirt want to know about APS.
On one side of the island 2 large cruise ships were moored, apparently the Scillies are expecting 14 ships in June and 52 for the year !!.
Had lunch at Juliette’s Garden a lovely terraced garden overlooking the town/bay. Food excellent and quick service.
Accomm. and breakfast at Wingletang has been really good.
Weather tomorrow not good apparently, so may fly back to LE Airport or not ?
Visit to the Scillies has been a great success, will certainly come again
