The most recent data for NHS Scotland shows that 99% of patients in NHS Orkney’s emergency departments were seen, admitted or discharged within four hours in June – beating the 95% target and up from the 94% achieved in May.

Latest statistics have revealed that NHS Scotland hit its four hour A&E target in June – with 95.5% of patients seen, admitted or discharged within four hours throughout the month.

Scottish hospitals have now had the best performing emergency departments in the UK for more than two years, according to the most recently available figures – and figures for NHS Orkney for the week ending 23^rd July show that 95.8% of patients were seen within four hours.
