Two Deaths in Scotland: COVID-19 Coronavirus Update 17th March

Two people have now died in Scotland from COVID-19, coronavirus.

The figures from Scotland as of today, 17th March, are

A total of 5,246 Scottish tests have concluded. Of these:

  • 5,051 tests were confirmed negative
  • 195 tests were positive

In the UK as a whole the number of positive tests are 1,543 . In total 44,105 people have been tested. (Figures as of 16th of March)

In Orkney schools remain open, however, many other facilities have either limited access or closed. Events and public meetings are also off. Cruise ships are to be able to continue to arrive.
