Orcadians across the county continued with their weekly protest in support of the Black Lives Matter campaign.
The door step event where people are invited to ‘take the knee’ and post a picture of themselves on social media took place again on Wednesday 18th of June at 6pm.
Contributions came in from all age groups and all parts of the community calling for an end to racism.
More images and information about the next event can be found on the Orkney Resists Facebook page.
The next event will take place on Wednesday 24th of June at 6pm. It will again be a door step protest but this time people will be asked to focus on the campaign ‘Justice for Sheku Bayoh’. You can find out about that event here: Orkney Black Lives Matter – Justice for Sheku Bayoh

The weeks following will each focus on BAME (Black, Asian, Minority and Ethnic) individuals who have died whilst being arrested or in police custody.
