
The cumulative total of positive cases in Orkney is now at 57.
The stats for Scotland recorded 25th January 2021 are as follows:
- 752 new cases of COVID-19 reported
- 10,326 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results – 8.6% of these were positive
- 4 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends)
- 151 people are in intensive care with recently confirmed COVID-19
- 2,016 people are in hospital with recently confirmed COVID-19
- 415,402 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 5,538 have received their second dose
The best way to limit the spread of this highly infectious virus is to follow FACTS
- wear a face covering
- avoid crowded places
- clean hands and surfaces regularly
- stay 2m away from other people
- self-isolate and book a test if you have COVID-19 symptoms (new continuous cough, fever or loss of, or change in, sense of smell or taste)
