  1. And they’re going ahead with the Ba’????

I’d like to see the names of the members of the Ba’ Committee who voted for it to happen this year. Then we’ll know who to blame for the resulting spike in Covid cases.

And OIC, who have ‘declined to comment’.

People are still getting ill, some are getting very ill, some are dying, yet large gatherings are being organized.

    Madness. Care-less madness.

    • Before anyone pounces on me for typing Ba’ instead of ‘Ba – I was angry and finger-slippage happens when I’m angry!

  2. PHS reported 2,607 daily cases but it appears that our government is too incompetent to type this number correctly into their own publications, hence have not noticed the typo which led to a reported figure of 2,067.
Apparently, our government has no quality control system in place…

Well, from next weekend onwards we won’t even get the PHS weekend update anymore… just Monday to Friday reporting will take place. Scaling down reporting, as if this was over, is not the right move at this time.

How on earth will the government deal with the next pandemic if it can’t even deal with this one? If the numbers are not published correctly and timely, it compromises the ability of everyone in science who models the disease, tries to detect trends and expected burdens on health services so that precautions can be taken early and so forth.
