The Council Plan sets out OIC priorities for the next 5 years period 2023-2028.

It covers 3 main areas

  1. Growing our Economy.
  2. Strengthening our Communities.
  3. Developing our Infrastructure

The three priority themes are underpinned by core principles which will guide future decision making across all the aims.

The Council must budget for the continuing impact of Brexit, socio-economic recovery from COVID-19 restrictions and an unpredictable geo-political environment. Funding pressures are likely to be acute during the lifetime of this plan.

The Orkney Community Plan (Local Outcomes Improvement Plan) for 2023-2030

The Orkney Community Plan (Local Outcomes Improvement Plan) for 2023-2030 is produced by The Orkney Partnership.

This consists of 5 agencies OIC, NHS Orkney, Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.

Some other input has come from the Third Sector .
