On March 3rd 1985 “Moonlighting” with Cybill Shepard & Bruce Willis premiered on ABC TV in the US.
Shepard and Willis were private detectives in this light comedy which became very popular. The chemistry between the main characters was instrumental in its success and is credited with launching Bruce Willis into star status.
The show’s theme song was co-written and performed by jazz singer Al Jarreau and became a hit.
