Cloud and occasional rain soon clear from Orkney this morning and from Shetland around midday with some bright or sunny spells developing. However cloud and outbreaks of rain spread east from early afternoon. Occasionally strong southerly winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Tonight:
Cloud and outbreaks of rain soon clear this evening to leave clear spells and scattered blustery showers. Strong southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 10 °C.
Sunday 15th September:
A bright and breezy day with a mix of sunny spells and initially blustery showers. Showers and the strong southwesterly breeze will ease through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
A few spots of rain possible, mainly for Shetland, but generally plenty of dry weather through into mid-week with some sunny spells, the best of these across Orkney.
