It will be a dry, bright day with some long sunny spells, perhaps just an isolated light shower over Orkney. Less windy but still a fresh southwesterly breeze. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Tonight:
Staying dry during the night with clear periods, then becoming cloudy later tonight. Winds will become southerly, strengthening overnight reaching gale force by morning. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Sunday 20th October:
Band of heavy rain crossing the Isles during the morning. Drier, brighter weather following in afternoon. Becoming very windy, southerly gales reaching severe gale force later. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Very windy start to Monday, easing a little but staying strong to gale force for first half of the week. Otherwise bright spells and blustery showers, becoming fewer on Wednesday.
