Today 15 February:

A rather cloudy start to the weekend with occasional showers. Showers gradually dwindling from the north from late morning over Shetland, with dry here from mid-afternoon as weak winter brightness builds. Fresh to strong east to northeast winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Shetland dry for the evening, but scattered rain and sleet showers over Orkney extending to Shetland overnight and turning heavier towards dawn. Fresh to strong east to southeast winds. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Sunday 16 February:

Rather cloudy with some wintry showers. Shetland always seeing the best of the shelter and the limited brighter spells. Fresh east to southeast winds occasionally strong over Orkney. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

A few scattered rain and sleet showers Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday brings periods of rain, turning heavier at times. Occasionally strong southeast winds, perhaps touching gale across Shetland early Wednesday.
