Rather cloudy start over Shetland with any showers at first soon dying out. Then dry with sunny skies over Orkney extending to Shetland in the afternoon. Freshening southerly winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Dry Friday with extensive mist and low cloud. Also fresh or strong southeast winds. Still quite windy on Saturday with rain later. Cloudy Sunday with patchy rain and lighter winds.
