Hips & Fungi

In the summer, a delicate rose in our hedge flowered for the first time

We don’t know what variety it is, but it’s a beauty!

Now, the hips are ripening – small, round, dark reddish/purple

And, also in the hedge the Rosa Rugosa hips are ripening too – big, red and blowsy

Food for the birds in the months ahead.

In the field over the hedge – first fungi this year

The year moves on
