Shetland will be dry with some bright or sunny spells. Cloudier across Orkney with the odd passing shower, more especially in the afternoon, but still some sunny intervals. Moderate to fresh southerly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Tonight:
Orkney rather cloudy in the evening with a few showers then turning dry and clear tonight. Shetland mainly dry with clear spells but chance of the odd shower. Winds easing. Minimum temperature 11 °C.
Wednesday 3 September:
A dry start with some sunshine then clouding over with some heavy showers, perhaps some longer spells of rain in the evening. Freshening easterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Early rain clearing Thursday then sunshine and the odd shower. Mainly dry with sunny spells on Friday and Saturday. Becoming windy on Saturday.
