Shetland will be cloudy with occasional rain, turning drier from the west later this afternoon. Some rain across Orkney at first this morning, then dry but rather cloudy. Windy with strong to gale south or southwesterly winds, easing later. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Tonight:
This evening will be mainly dry with clear periods. Then becoming rather cloudy overnight with a little rain spreading from the southwest. Light southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 10 °C.
Friday 19 September :
A cloudy start with a little rain. Then becoming dry with some bright or sunny spells. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Chance of some rain at first on Saturday, otherwise mainly dry but showers likely later. Cold and windy on Sunday with showers. Less windy with fewer showers on Monday.
