
Ian Brown will give a talk ‘Bombing Scapa Flow’ on Friday 11 September in the King St Halls, Kirkwall, at 7.30pm.
This talk is part of the Orkney Aviation Festival and Another Orkney Production. It will take a detailed look at the air raid which took place on 16 March 1940 resulting in the death of James Isbister, at Brig o’ Waithe. The first civilian killed in Britain in World War II.
Ian Brown is an author, aviation historian, and curator at the National Museum of Flight, East Fortune.
