Clear spells at first in the evening but gradually clouding over from the south. Staying cloudy overnight with perhaps the odd spot of light rain. Strengthening south to southeast winds Minimum temperature 10 °C.
Tuesday 20 October :
Largely cloudy and rather breezy with some patchy light rain, but some bright spells possible for Shetland. A chance of this rain turning heavier and more persistent later over Orkney. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Remaining cloudy and quite breezy with some rain on Wednesday. Bright spells and showers on Thursday and Friday morning. Chance of persistent heavy rain later on Friday.
