#Covid Deaths in Scotland Continue to Decrease, Weekly Update

Age 15 – 44: 1 death, male

Age 65 – 74: 3 deaths, 1 female, 2 male

Age 75 – 84: 5 deaths, 2 female, 3 male

Age 85+: 4 deaths, 3 female, 1 male

Of the 13 deaths involving Covid, Covid was the underlying cause in 9 of them.

Twelve of the deaths took place in Hospital and 1 at Home/Non Institutional Setting.

There were 1,082 deaths due to all causes, an excess taken over the 5 year average of 4 deaths.

There were excess deaths in: Cancer +11; Dementia/Alzheimer’s +5; Other Causes +15
