Hope and Play is a UK Charity. It is dedicated to bring play back into the lives of Palestinian children and to give them hope for a future. Orkney islanders are proud of their links with Hope and Play which was established in 2008 and is dedicated to helping children.
Gaza has the highest percentage of child amputees than any other place in the world.

Not only have children in Gaza faced the loss of family, starvation, and disease, their homes and communities have been obliterated. Palestinians place a high value on education, and only now with the extremely fragile and disjointed phase 1 of a Peace Deal are the remaining teachers being able to provide schooling to children.
Hope and Play supports schooling and bringing fun back into highly traumatised children.
