The Annual Outing of the Over 60s Club took us to Burgar Hill.
Melissa Spence, the Managing director of Burgar Hill Renewables Ltd. gave us a fascinating insight into her family’s pioneering work in windfarm development.
After the obligatory group photo some of us got a chance to look inside one of the turbines.
Our thanks to Mark Kirkbride for driving the bus up to Burgar Hill and on to an excellent meal at the Merkister Hotel.
