Fresh Food & Friendly Staff at Cafe@no.65

Food Review By Aife

Cafe@no.65 in Victoria Street, Kirkwall, directly across from the Red Cross Shop is run by Orkney Blide Trust.

The food is reasonable and freshly prepared with a range of daily specials.

The tables, cutlery and surroundings are very clean.

The reasonably priced lunch we selected for 2 was:

Both the panini and the sandwich came with a good sized side salad – which was lovely and fresh with home made coleslaw

Also on offer that day was soup of the day (carrot and cumin) and the specials of baked potatoes.

The menu – is clearly written with a numbering system for allergens.

There is also a children’s menu.

The food was very good. Local produce is used including coffee  from the Orkney Roastery.

If in town check it out for yourselves. Very friendly staff made this a pleasant lunch but if you don’t want to sit in they also run a takeaway service.
