The NHS Scotland App, Protect Scotland is free to download to your phone for anyone in Scotland aged 12+ Years. It will alert you if you have been near someone who has tested positive for Covid 19 who also has the App on their phone.

It is very effective but that needs more people to download it because the Apps on the phones alert each other. The App helps to break chains of infection by alerting users quickly.

The app does not hold personal information, know who you are, or know where you have been. It cannot identify you or track your movements.
