Variable amounts of cloud and bright spells in the morning, with an increasing chance of a few showers through the afternoon and evening. Light winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain for Shetland to start this evening. Clear spells and scattered showers for Orkney, which will then spread to Shetland through the night. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Wednesday 14 January :

A few early showers in the morning, otherwise mainly dry with sunny spells. More in the way of cloud developing in the afternoon with perhaps the odd spot of rain. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Rather cloudy with showers or outbreaks of rain on Thursday. Some bright or sunny spells on Friday and Saturday, the odd shower possible.
