Another cloudy day with further outbreaks of rain, this mostly light but some heavier spells possible. Drier for Shetland later. Freshening east to southeast winds through the day. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with some showery rain at first, becoming dry with clear spells for Shetland through the evening, and for Orkney overnight. Fresh southeast to easterly winds. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Wednesday 11 February :

A largely dry day with bright or sunny spells for Shetland, sunshine hazier for Orkney. Chance of the odd shower. Fresh easterly winds. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Colder weather with bright spells and some wintry showers Thursday and Friday as winds turn northerly. Dry for a time on Saturday before more showers later.
