Today 1 March :

Bright spells with the odd shower at first this morning. Rain will spread north across Orkney from late morning becoming patchy as it reaches Shetland late in the afternoon. Fresh southeast wind strengthens later. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Patchy rain during the evening will become more widespread from the late evening. Orkney will see the best of any dry spells towards the morning. Windy. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Monday 2 March :

Rain will clear from the south during the morning leaving bright spells with a few showers until the late afternoon when showery rain spreads east. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Early showers clear Shetland Tuesday morning leaving the Isles dry with sunny spells until early Thursday. Outbreaks of rain spread east over the Isles from Thursday afternoon.
