By Bernie Bell.

A rainy day, can’t do the garden, so we went into Stromness to raid the charity shops and have a look in the windows at Northlight Gallery.

From 19th February to 10th March four local makers are showing ceramics, ganseys, crochet and felt work

I apologise for the quality of the images – rainy days and my camera don’t mix.  If you go to have a look, you might have better weather for it!

From left to right, working my way round the windows.  First, the ganseys

Just looking at them you can tell how soft they’d feel, and how warm they’d be – proper woollies!

Then crochet and ceramics

And finally, felting

I apologised for the poor quality of the photos – on second thoughts – an image which draws the eye from fishermen’s ganseys, along a wet Stromness street, to the sea……works!
