Today 22 March :

Cloudy start with occasional rain, but clearing to bright or sunny spells and showers through the morning as strong southwest winds turn more westerly. Winds touching gale force across Shetland. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Some clear spells overnight, but generally cloudy with blustery showers, these turning wintry even to low levels. Westerly winds gradually easing fresh to strong. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Monday 23 March :

Bright spells and wintry showers at first but cloud thickening from west to bring rain for the afternoon. Winds turning south or southwest and increasing gale force at times. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Windy on Tuesday but rain soon clearing to showers. Turning colder again on Wednesday with wintry showers to low levels. Winds easing on Thursday and showers clearing, but rain later.
