It will be windy with blustery showers, these heavy at times with risk of hail and the odd rumble of thunder. Bright with occasional sunny spells and feeling chilly in the strong to gale force west or northwest winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Tonight:
The winds easing and the showers becoming well scattered this evening. Dry of a time overnight, but thickening cloud and patchy rain later as winds turn into the southwest. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Tuesday 31 March :
Rather cloudy with patchy light rain and drizzle at first, but becoming mostly dry. Best of any brightness across Orkney. Moderate to fresh southwest winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Outbreaks of rain gradually clearing south on Wednesday and windy at times. Then mainly dry on Thursday and Friday with some bright or sunny spells.
