Today 5 April :

Any remaining heavy rain, hill snow and gales over Shetland clearing early this morning leaving a bright day with sunny intervals and a few showers, these becoming blustery over Orkney where it may touch gale force at times later Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Clear intervals and blustery showers this evening the fresh to strong westerly winds then easing tonight with the showers becoming more isolated. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Monday 6 April :

A few light showers in the morning otherwise a dry bright day with some sunny spells, lighter winds. High cloud thickening later. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Dry and bright on Tuesday with some sunny spells, cloudier later with strengthening southerly wiinds. Cloudier on Wednesday with chance of rain or showers. Thursday sunny intervals and showers.
