Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 is from 15-21 May. Anxiety is one of the most common mental health problems we can face.
People in Orkney who are feeling anxious or who are struggling to cope are being encouraged to seek support by the Scottish Government’s Principal Medical Officer for Mental Health.
“What’s happening in the world, in Britain, in our lives, gathered into a wave, which nearly caught me and took me, spiralling down into the whirlpool of “What’s the point?””
The Amabie is a three legged mermaid who emerges from the sea.
“It is funny how little we are hearing about support for mental well being at this time of extreme fear and anxiety.”
As this is mental health awareness week I have chosen Please Hear What I’m Not Saying by Charles C Finn, September 1966.
