The Heart of Scotland Appeal is a new campaign from national charity Heart Research UK to draw attention to the severity of cardiovascular disease in Scotland.
National charity Heart Research UK is urging groups to submit applications for the Heart Research UK and Subway® Healthy Heart Grant before 20 May.
The study, led by Dr Pierpaolo Pellicori, will investigate the incidence of heart failure and develop new methods to detect abnormal heart function at an early stage when treatment may prevent progression of the disease.
