Local heritage and arts organisations in Orkney are reminded that the council’s Covid Recovery Fund for Culture closes for applications at 5pm on Friday 9 June 2023.
£3,566,935 has been awarded to 11 organisations throughout Scotland to support the work they do in promoting history and heritage.

The courage of the people of Faray is retold in the story of the trawler ‘Hope’ which broke its anchor chain and landed up on the Holm of Faray on Boxing Day 1908.

“A Day in Egilsay” community event, will include heritage talks, discussions, and a walk on Saturday 10 September.
