On the 14th of April 1578,(?) James Hepburn, Earl of Bothwell, ( aka the Duke of Orkney) third husband of Mary, Queen of Scots, died at Dragsholm Castle in Denmark. (or did he?)
On this day, May 13th, in 1568 at the Battle of Langside, Mary, Queen of Scots, was finally defeated in her attempt to regain the throne from her son, James VI
