On Wednesday 15th of May the Orkney News team of Nick Morrison and Martin Laird got a look around the new Balfour Hospital in Kirkwall.
The KGS was packed for What the Floyd, and this was their second night.
Friday evening, 3rd of May, saw a tutored wine blending at the Kirkjuvagr Distillery as part of this year’s Wine Festival.
There were people from the Macular Society to talk to as well as a range of electronic and optical magnifiers with a rep from the company explaining them.

The vintage afternoon tea was exactly that . There was a nicely laid out table with fresh daffodils and pussy willow for decoration .
Saturday saw the inaugural meeting of Orcadians Going Green .
There were 22 of us on Saturday at a lively breakfast.
