A new nursery is to be built next to the Orkney College campus of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) in Kirkwall.
“The new nursery will support families from both mainland Orkney and the outer isles, as well as providing opportunities for Childhood Practice Students from Orkney College.” – Mairi Gougeon
Nursery registration week is from 5-12 March 2021 and parents are invited to register via Education/Learning on the OIC website.
Nurseries and other settings are encouraged to take learning outdoors to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Orkney Islands Council has issued a statement following the announcement that Peedie Breeks Nursery at Papdale will be closing.
