Local Government workers, members of the trade union, Unite have voted to reject the COSLA pay offer by an overwhelming majority of 83.3%.
In the letter to Nicola Sturgeon, Unite highlights that 55% of local government workers earn less than £25,000 per annum, and around 75% of local government workers earn less than the UK national average wage of £32,875.

A new agreement has been reached covering offshore workers which will ensure they can benefit from the UK government coronavirus job retention scheme.
All proposed industrial action is now suspended until after the ballot result.

The industrial action is now ended at Aberdeen Airport.
Leaders of Unite the union have confirmed that the strike action scheduled for Aberdeen Airport on Friday June 28th is called off.
Unite have called off the strike action set for tomorrow, June 27th at Aberdeen Airport.
