Phil Godfrey is planning to walk from the Scillies Isles right on to Shetland. This is in memory of his wife Christine who was diagnosed with APS in 2005 and who passed away in January 2015. Due to injuries sustained early on he is doing this in stages.
After a very good night and a superb breakfast, at the Royal Oak, we started on the Montgomery Canal, well kept and made good progress. Had a welcome break at the Powis Arms, a good beer called the Slumbering Monk. Left the Canal and continued along the Dyke. One problem with a farmer putting an electric fence across the footpath, but the rest of the path was very well marked. In the River Severn, Chris saw an otter, sadly did not reappear. Walked into Four Crosses and waited for our host to pick us up. Taken to her Bungalow, very well kept garden and lots of fruit and vegetables. lovely lady.
Weather has been quite hot with good blue skies, but tomorrow may be different !!!
