Orkney Islands Council’s Christmas Grant scheme is open for applications.

The £40 grant is open to:

• residents aged 60 years and over who receive Pension Credit
• people over the age of 18 with a disability
• parent of a child under 18 with a disability

Application forms for the grant are available from Customer Service points in Stromness and Kirkwall, by emailing our Customer Service team – or downloaded from the Council website on the  ‘Christmas Grants’ webpage .

People who received the grant in 2016 will automatically be sent an application form.

If you did not qualify in 2016 and think you might do so this year then you must contact the council to receive a new application form.

Couples who receive Pension Credit will both need to complete application forms.

Completed forms should be sent to Orkney Islands Council (Christmas Grants), Council Offices, Kirkwall, KW15 1NY before 1 December 2017 where possible (claims made after 25 December 2017 may not be considered).
