Next week will see Ken and I married 25 years; we were delighted to receive in advance a Silver Wedding climbing rose from our youngest daughter Nadia. It was only once we got it home that we realised we have no earth directly onto a wall high enough for a climbing rose. Not to be defeated I rummaged around and found an old container which our other daughter Naomi had used for filling her horses water buckets, recycling at it simplest. We then arranged some other flower pots, a dreamcatcher, a windchime, some wall “art” and a Budha for a wee corner of our garden which shall always evoke happy memories and contemplation. The rose itself shall hopefully become the natural wall art in future, a watch this space where hopefully this corner wall shall be big enough for the rose’s expansion.
