Recent Ard International Guitar Festival Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Sarah Mcquaid is currently in Orkney for two concerts this week; St Margaret’s Hope on Thursday evening and the Gable End Theatre, Lyness, Hoy on Friday evening.

Sarah who was born in Madrid, brought up in Chicago and currently lives close to Penzance in Cornwall, has been doing tours of the USA and Canada since the age of twelve as part of the Chicago Children’s Choir.

This is Sarah’s second visit to Orkney, this time promoting her fifth album, “If We Dig Any Deeper It Could Get Dangerous” as part of a tour of both the USA and the UK. She leaves Orkney for a quick overnight visit to the Highland Capital Inverness, before continuing with her tour in Edinburgh on Sunday at the Assembly Roxy.

We caught up with Sarah today at the Cromarty Halls
