Having missed out the ‘l’ in the title of my piece about the Indian Garden restaurant https://theorkneynews.scot/2019/05/14/just-a-good-pace-to-eat/ and wondering if anyone noticed, reminded me of this, which was sent to me some years ago………….
“Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn’t mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteers be at the rghit pclae.
The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.
I can’t say how hard it was to type this, without my brain telling my fingers to correct it!
And Spellcheck – went on strike!
