Poetry Corner:May the Water Be Always Clear

By Bernie Bell

The ‘Scapa 100’ events, and the, frankly bizzare, idea that some of those historic vessels may be sold on e-Bay  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-48684400 , got me thinking of those who dive the Orkney waters, these days, and I wrote a little ditty/blessing for them…………..

May the Water Be Always Clear

May the water be always clear,

And the pressure be ne’er too weighty.

May you not get tangled in gear,

And your ’rise’ be ne’er too hasty.

May the Kraken always sleep

When you’re diving in the deep.
