General Election 2019 Climate Hustings

On Monday 9th of December the Orkney and Shetland candidates (some of them) came together to speak at the Climate  Hustings in Stromness Library.

The packed room heard from Coilla Drake (Scottish Labour Party), Robert Leslie (Scottish National Party) and standing in for Alistair Carmichael (Scottish Liberal Democrats) was Liam McArthur MSP.

The meeting was chaired by Councillor Steve Sankey co convener of the Orkney Greens for the organisers, Extinction Rebellion.

  1. Where was Jennifer Fairbairn, Tory, PPC? Has she been drummed out of ‘Bully Boy’ Johnson’s Party for tearing up his manifesto at the Shetland, Hustings on Monday 2nd in Lerwick, where she seemed to disagree with everything the Tories are supposed to be putting forward?
