On 22nd of December 1932 ‘The Mummy’ starring Boris Karloff is released in the USA.

An ancient Egyptian mummy named Imhotep is discovered by a team of archaeologists and  brought back to life through a magic scroll. Disguised as a modern Egyptian, the mummy searches for his lost love, whom he believes has been reincarnated into a modern girl.

It was the first Mummy monster movie.
