Pass It On Week 2020
All this week – 7th – 15th of March, Scotland is being urged to celebrate re-using with Pass It On Week. This year’s theme is to pass on Toys.

- Look out for the CE mark (CE stands for “Conformité Européene” which literally means “European Conformity”)
- If it is material, then check it is fire resistant
- Check for sharp edges or finger traps
- Make sure the item is in good condition – no rips, tears, broken bits, drawn on etc.
- Check the item is clean and that all parts are present
- And, if there is a battery compartment, look for signs of leakage and that the item works
Greener Orkney
Greener Orkney are organising their first event of 2020 an Eco Pop Up Market at the King Street Halls on the 28th March from 10 up to 1pm.
Entitled ‘Change One Thing’ Orcadians are being encouraged to ‘clean up their act’.
Local businesses are being invited to take part where they have something to offer that’s either ethically sourced or made and sold locally from ethically sourced materials.
British red cross will also be there to encourage reuse plus a number of others including a drop off point for the Candle Recycling Company and Smalls for All .
