Dear Orkney News

A  Short Letter

Serco were responsible for the hundreds of callous evictions of asylum seekers in Glasgow.  This gives some idea of where their priorities lie.

And yet, the Scottish Government repeatedly sees fit to award that company the contract to run our life-line Isles ferries.

The re-scheduling of their time-table, messed up travel connections for many people, and meant  that local hotels/ B&B’s/ Self-catering lost business, as folk need to stay on board overnight to travel on the, now ludicrously early, crossing from Stromness to Scrabster.

This also gives some idea of where their priorities lie.

Why give business to a company which shows such blatant disregard for …..people?

Sign of the Times.

I finish with a long row of question marks.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Yours fumingly, Bernie Bell, Orkney
