Did I see this at the border between Scotland and England?
No – it it’s just down the road from us – an old telegraph pole re-used as a strainer post.

Bernie, your post looks like an old ‘Lecky’ post for in all my years with the GPO and its successor BT I can never remember us ever using a ‘DANGER’ sign like one shown. As I said more likely to be an old electricity distribution pole as it was and still is quite common to see such a warning. Though barbed wire worries me as I thought it was now illegal to use???
Ey up Charlie – fact is, I just refer to anything like that, as a telegraph pole. I am a bit random in my use of language, sometimes – especially when describing something!
