In The Windows of Northlight: The Rousay Clearances

There’s just a few days left to catch the Northlight Gallery’s latest exhibition in Stromness.

The Rousay Clearances Exodus From The Egypt Of The North is on in the windows of the gallery and in the building opposite until Friday 4th of December and features photographs and art work by Orcadian artist Martin Laird.

The exhibition opened on Saturday 28th of November as part of the global cultural event, Fair Saturday, which in Scotland is marked by St Andrew’s Fair Day.

The exhibition supports the work of Orkney Rape and Sexual Assault Service (ORSAS)

The 20 page quality magazine style booklet has text explaining the background to Martin’s images, written by Fiona Grahame. It costs £8 and the price includes Postage and Packing.

There is a limited number available so if you would like a copy it is advisable to order early. It does make an excellent Christmas gift.
