The shops, streets and houses of Stromness are starting to look a lot like Christmas.

The town’s tree is looking lovely and festive lights have been added to the street lamps all along the ferry road.

There’s also a window display creating a living advent calendar with each day in December revealing a new image.

Even on a dreich dark evening it fairly cheers you up to see such great community spirit and fun in Stromness.
